Introducing our brand new Little Belter™ conveyor belt clamps, designed by us and made Britain
Choosing the right belt joint from the large array of Flexco fasteners can be daunting. This guide will help you take out some of the guesswork.
We recently visited the UK distributor of Baron, a company best known for their forced action mixers for resin bound driveways, but also the manufacturers of a portable conveyor system.
When quoting to supply a new belt, customers will often specify how many plies the want in the belt as they believe this is a guarantee of durability, and whilst this can be a guide it isn’t critical.
We first started working on road planers around 25 years ago and since then it’s become something of a speciality for us, refining methods of vulcanising belts to all Wirtgen machines.
As companies search for increased productivity it’s more important than ever to explore and understand the two main methods of conveyor belt joining. Conveyor systems are a prominent piece of machinery at most quarries and mines…
This year we have finally launched our online sales sector, our new digital sales platform makes it easy for you to browse our extensive product offering and find what it is you’re looking for.

Brand new conveyor belt clamps! Designed by us in house and made in England, the Little Belter™can be used on belts from 5mm-18mm thick.
Their low profile design allows them to be placed where conventional belt clamps wouldn’t fit. Unlike regular clamps that require cross bars, the Little Belters can be fitted to chevron or troughed belts or even behind skirts.
When four clamps are used in conjunction with our mini pullers as found in our Belt Pulley Kit the belt ends can be brought together squarely to make the splice.
This 5kva 240v to 110v transformer has 2x 16a sockets and 1x32a socket and will run two baron conveyors independently or upto X units linked in series.
Almost essential if feeding from another conveyor or shovelling, the hopper will attach with just two clicks anywhere along the length of the machine. The rigid design and high grade steel construction mean the hopper won’t bend out of shape with heavy use: such as if clipped by the bucket of a mini digger.
*3300 conveyor and undercarriage shown in photo for demonstration purposes only and not included in sale
Attaches to any Baron conveyor with just two clicks and allows a single person to easily manoeuvre even the 103Kg 6m unit.
The undercarriage will attache at any point along the conveyors length allowing you to change the discharge height.

Our new range of Baron portable conveyors are ideal for many applications from building projects to demolition.
These conveyors are available in four sizes; 2.5, 3.3, 4.5 and 6.0 meters and have a selection of accessories allowing you to tailor them to your specific needs.
All machines are 450mm wide x 250mm high allowing them to be run in confined spaces, such as basements and alleyways.
The 2.5m unit only weighs 61kg so is easily carried by two people and even the 6.0m machine which comes in at a modest 103kg, can be moved by one person using the (optional) wheeled undercarriage
The heavy duty 0.55Kw 110v motor has an infinitely adjustable speed dial from 0.2 m/s to 0.8m/s which allows fine control of the discharge rate. Each unit requires a standard 110v cable (available here) and two units can be powered by our heavy duty 110v transformer.
Series linkable conveyors are also available allowing several slave units to be controlled by a master. Please contact us to discus your requirements.
When combined with our conveyor belt scraper blade, these tensioners make a very effective, inexpensive belt cleaner.

The extreme low own weight and the very compact design make the hoist easy to use in confined working conditions meaning its perfect for use on conveyors and other maintenance jobs. When used in conjunction with caver clamps these pullers are perfect for tensioning belts to make a splice. Their 250kg capacity and 1.5m chain make them very versatile.
Frog clamps or belt pulling clamps as they are known are a necessity when fitting conveyor belts. The more force that’s applied to the rear of the clamps, the harder they grip making them idea for pulling belting off or on the machine. Grooves in the jaws ensure they don’t slip even on wet or greasy rubber.
Available either with or without 600mm sling and hook
MegAlloy® fasteners are suitable for high wear applications.
