Hot Vulcanising

Hot vulcanising is the means of joining a  conveyor belt by curing a rubber splice with a heated press, where as cold bonding is simply gluing the two ends together. Belts can either be fitted and joined on site, or we can supply a belt made endless in our workshop. We do not recommend cold bonding in most instances as we see a large amount of cold bond joints that have prematurely failed. Hot vulcanised repairs can be made to small holes/tears in a belt, as this can be time consuming its usually only practicable on long belts.

We can also join PU and PVC belts.
